Drug Free Duval is a community coalition comprised of residents, providers, advocates and educators all working together to prevent and reduce substance abuse and underage drinking in Duval County. The Coalition members offer data and evidence-based prevention strategies and serve as educational resources for our residents with the ultimate goal of creating a drug-free community in Duval County.

What we do

Drug Free Duval is dedicated to freedom from substance abuse for all Duval residents. We are looking toward population-level change through engaging environmental strategies. So what’s our process?

  • We use data to determine specific substance-abuse behaviors that are problematic in our community
  • We provide a comprehensive understanding of resources available, and playing a vital role in linking together these resources
  • We create a cohesive vision and action plan for implementing environmental strategies in which all stakeholders from all sectors can play a meaningful role
  • We establish measurements and strive to evaluate the effectiveness with honesty, being bold enough to understand when strategies are not successful, and identifying new or stronger methods toward community change
  • We are moving toward creating sustainability in resources, commitment, vision and process

We can’t do it alone…

Drug Free Duval is passionate about achieving a healthy and vibrant community. We are incapable of achieving the vision without the engagement, investment and dedication of so many. The list below is not exhaustive, and is constantly changing, but we are grateful to be working alongside:
